I'm thinking of you Timeless at the moment, if you remember there was a member called THE AVENGERHOLIC on the Avengers forum and he had begun to sell some objects from his collection. Well, he had bought Gambit's television, but he finally decided to sell it. Dunno if you can still buy it on Ebay, but try !

Yes, you mean Ian Beazley, Avengers collector extraordinaire. I've bought quite a few items from him, and the ones I just listed in my last post are ones he's selling as well, including Gambit's TV set. I want the set badly, but he won't ship it--you have to pick it up. This is difficult considering he's in Britain and I'm in Canada--not exactly convenient!

I'd love to have lots of his stuff, but I only have so much money to spend on my collection(s). I am glad I got his TNA poster, though--it looks great.

Oh my... That's amazing, I wouldn't even dare to ask how much his collection is worth: look at the prices! He doesn't sell his stuff, but open up a museum instead...

All very cool items , but those prices are just mad !
I know the doll and outfit are very rare and the script would be a nice thing to have but , c'mon ...
The only affordable object is Mike's TV set !

I think Maartje has a good point there - opening a museum of all that stuff wouldn't be such a bad idea ...

Yes, it's such a great collection and it's extremely rare to have so many items all together. It would be a shame to have them scattered across the four corners of the globe..

He seemed not to appreciate French people, he kept refusing on the French Forum, he didn't want to sell the mere thing...
Even though I'm French, I don't consider myself as being like that, don't worry ! LOL !
Everytime we asked him if there was something possible, he answered 'Nope, there's nothing'...
But I've got many things in my collection, I don't need his collection, haha.

I've got a beautiful poster with Cathy Gale, a black one and the series' title is written in red !

I think the most valuable object is probably Joanna's script: I would absolutely love to take a look at it, but that price!

It's hard to believe that someone would sell these after (what must have been) years of collecting. Such a shame.

Indeed, that's so strange to see him proceeding that way.
We all wondered why was he doing that ?
Did he notice a better memorabilia with a higher price ?

I'm thinking of buying the official Avengers callender 2010, because Philly showed me her gorgeous copy of last year's edition.

On the other hand, I do have my principles, and since it still doesn't include any photographs of the New Avengers, I'm still hesitating.

Why do they reject the New Avengers ?
They should have their own calendar, what do you think ?

TNA used to be in the calendar years ago--it used to be The Official Avengers and New Avengers Calendar when I first bought it. But TNA is owned by a separate rights holder because it was an independent production, and the calendar company lost the rights to it. Therefore, they cannot legally include TNA in their calendars. Do buy one, though--they're lovely.

Oh, that explains a lot! I found it rather odd that it didn't include any pictures of TNA at all, because it's still officially part of the Avengers show. That, and the fact that the House 2010 calendar is really gorgeous too, and I haven't got place for two.

If there's a pic that caught my attention, it was the first picture for January 2008 with Linda and Patrick for the promo of the sixth series.

Well, it's just a matter of opinion.
But we can be sure of one thing, if she had red hair, or blue one, I wouldn't like her.

Agreed. I thought Linda looked horrible as a blonde. It's so obvious she's not one because it doesn't go with her colouring at all.

I can find room for 2, but for me it'll be the Gene Hunt calendar. I had both LoM ones, so it can sit where they used to.

Like I said, TNA used to be in the calendars. The shots of Purdey and Gambit they used were often rare. But then they lost the licence. Wish they'd repurchase it.

The calendars are not that expensive though, so I might buy the Avengers one as well.

Ever since that fire a few months back (it really hasn't been my year, I tell ya), I've come to the realisation that as a collector I should have some sort of inventory of my stuff for insurance purposes, and I've been gradually compiling a list. I've saved the Avengers stuff 'til last because it's the biggest, and now I'm going to be itemising everything and taking some pictures for reference. This means dragging out the big storage tubs and going through them all. I know Maartje has suggested once or twice that I should post pictures of my collection, so I was wondering if you guys would be interested in the pictures once I've taken them all? You can probably see a lot if it elsewhere, but I'm just offering.

Oh, absolutely - I'd love to see your collection, still. The fact that it's going to take ages to photograph it all, is promising.
