Love the Target reference too, great idea to write that in. Yes, I'm definitely sure about it now: you've got me hooked to this fic.

And you should - twelve pages is amazing.
Well done girls!

Brilliant line, if I may say so.Love the Target reference too, great idea to write that in. Yes, I'm definitely sure about it now: you've got me hooked to this fic.

). Enjoy!

Yes, Purdey's starting to put the pieces together a little bit. Maybe if Gambit is able to stop smoking for a second, he'll be able to help her.

Mara wrote:You might want to know I'm re-reading some of your stuff, mainly the unpublished stories. They're really great, and I need my weekly dosis of G/P love, so...
I'm still really, really thrilled that my unpublished stuff was so well-received. I had like 2 years of accumulated fic when I came here--amazing how quickly I posted it all!
So it's good to know that they're getting repeat love. But I'm still writing, with lots of stories to tell, so hopefully there is more P/G love to come.

Ooooh, please do let us know as soon as there are any updates/a new story. I think I no longer have to say how much I enjoy those, eh?
I'm re-reading July 1977 at the moment, which is my absolute favorite, but an other one like are The Christmas Bryde. (I'm a sucker for X-mas stories, hihi) I actually like all the unpublished stuff, but since I had to pick a favorite.
As for the published stuff, my first choice I'd be Brazil. It took me days to fully read it, but it was absolutely worth it. But I'm must say I'm also quite into Life on Mars and The Question your latest fics, because as soon as I've finished an update, I immediately want to read more.
I remember this one fanfic though... I can't recall what the title was, I which Gambit'd passed away. Might have been one of the unpublished stories, but that one actually made me cry.
I'm so glad you're enjoying them.
And liek I said, I'm really proud of The Question because it was an experiment, and it was so well-received I was surprised. I want to try first-person again some day, but I need the right plot for it. I'm glad thety make you want to keep reading--that's rather the point.

Timeless A-Peel wrote:Again, I'm still surprised how well July, 1977 went over. I've a feeling other people wouldn't like it as much, and I was really nervous about letting anyone read it at all, to be honest. So every time you guys go back to it, I feel proud (and a little surprised!).

Mara wrote:Life on Mars is a bit confusing now, but I'm such it will be much clearer by the time you get to the end. And hey - at least you've got always the one reading for a P/G story, and that's me.Timeless A-Peel wrote:Again, I'm still surprised how well July, 1977 went over. It is pretty dramatic, but I do sometimes like a bit of that. I can't tell you why I would pick this one as my favorite: I started reading, and couldn't stop until I'd finished all the chapters. It's an emotional rigmarole, but with a happy ending and I'm a sucker for that.
Your Christmas stories are great too - it's nice that you keep that tradition alive. I'm already looking forward to what you will come up with this year, haha.
It mind sound a bit pathetic, but god, I wish I could write. I do realize that I'm about the only regular poster on the forum who has actually never published any fanfic, but that's because I like the reading better I guess. (I probably don't have the patience either) It's odd though, because I do enjoy writing, but it's just that columns/articles are more my cup of tea. Shame really, doing fiction seems to be good fun!
This is good, because I have a couple of other started fics I want to work on now, including another arc story. I'm determined to finish the arc!

Go for it! Can't wait to read it.

Timeless A-Peel wrote:You've seen how long "Brazil" was, right?
But you know I'll read it anyway - that's a promise.

That's a fact I can't deny.But you know I'll read it anyway - that's a promise.
I just have to write it first! And there's still lots of "Life on Mars" left to be posted. When I went to post that new chapter yesterday, I was surprised at how much there still was to go.
), but still. Though on the other hand, you can't blame him for being suspicious..

I didn't think I'd ever hear myself saying this, but I really hate Steed at the moment. Of course I know he's not the real Steed (or is he?), but still. Though on the other hand, you can't blame him for being suspicious..
He's not supposed to be entirely likeable, although, as you say, he has his reasons. Gambit, on the other hand, is still royally screwed-up--he's never gotten used to being a widower, and he's not thinking too objectively about Purdey as a result. But he's infinitely more trustworthy than Steed. Bet you didn't see that one coming?
I'm really glad you liked the chapter. My betareader pointed out Steed's not the real gentleman this time round--Gambit is.Users browsing this forum: No registered users and 0 guests
