His relation with Joanna was excellent, it can be shown very clearly, it's so delicious to watch them other and other again, almost quarelling, or not being agree on such and such issue.

I was at school when I found out, and I spent the next half hour crying. It was so surprising because no one knew he was ill, and so devastating because he was so brave about it. Joanna was so close to him, she must have been one of the few people he told. It broke my heart to hear her comments: "I loved him dearly." It was both sad and sweet to know just what good friends they were. I wrote her a condolence letter, but I have no idea if she got it.
I discovered Gareth and Gambit at a very influential time in my childhood. He was my first TV crush, and he meant, and continues to mean, a lot to me. I'm so sorry I never got a chance to meet him. You are sorely missed, Gareth.
