- Emma! Look! I've got etheric beam locators!

- No, Doctor, I'm afraid those are actual breasts.

- Are you sure? I think I can see the 'on' switch.

Re: Got the DVD's?

I remember that you made me discovering the show Philippa, one year ago exactly, haha. And after having viewed a few extracts, I bought it. I really entered into its universe. It's quite entertaining.

Re: Got the DVDs?

It's a shame that I've already got the Region 1 box which I paid a lot of money for, because now there's a repackaged DVD box of Sapphire & Steel in Region 2 for only £18.79! Lovely cover too.

That's what I received this week, too. Since I'm watching Class Act now, I haven't had time to watch this series, but I'm pretty curious. It has a nice booklet with lot's of information in it which is rare these days.

I hope you'll enjoy it when you start watching. It's quite an odd and peculiar series, but I like it

Re: Got the DVDs?

I still haven't watched my set. I'm trying to work through all my DVD sets before I buy new ones, so hopefully I'll get to these ones after I've run everything else yet. I'm a little reluctant because I just know it's going to freak me out.

Re: Got the DVDs?

I haven't got the box and I never did manage to watch one episode from beginning till end. I'm aware of the fact that this is slightly embarrassing (as Sapphire was obviously a big deal for Joanna) so I'm considering trying it.

Which episodes would you recommend?

Re: Got the DVDs?

Assignments 2 and 5 are really good in my opinion. You might want to skip assignment 3  (a.k.a. the flying pillow sequence etc)

There will be a new DVD release of the complete series in the US later this year, if anyone is still looking for the set: link

Nice to see S&S is getting a North American release again (the A&E set is ancient by now, and usually only available second hand or in the bargain bin--that's where I got mine  ). We'll see if any new extras pop up on it. Thanks, Britta. :thumb:

Re: Got the DVDs?

Interesting! Crossing my fingers for some nice extras. I've got the old US release as well, and apart from audio commentary (if I'm not mistaken), there aren't any extras on them.
