Re: Jam and Jerusalem

More info about the new series here and here
Seems we didn't need to worry, both the vicar and Spike are mentioned, so they're in it! But we still don't know about Queenie, let's hope she's still in it too!

Re: Jam and Jerusalem

The first episode of the third series is broadcast on the 7th of August, so that is rather soon already! Here's a small article. I really long to see what Jennifer has come up with this time, even though Joanna isn't in it... it's a piece of such clever writing.

Re: Jam and Jerusalem

I haven't got a single penny to spend on DVDs or books at the moment, but I'll probably have my whole wishlist shipped at the same time I think. Don't forget the Nothern Lights documentary is coming out next month too, I want to have that one as well...

Re: Jam and Jerusalem

Well, there has been a lot of confusion about the release date of the first episode, but the BBC Press Office says the episodes are planned for Sunday night. Bit of a shame really, because I will probably not even be able to watch this week's episode already...

Did you? Damn, I've really wanted to see that trailer for a long time: I've even stopped skipping BBC commercial breaks, hoping I'll catch a glimpse of the new series, but no luck yet.

Re: Jam and Jerusalem

Thanks for the links darling, I'll take a look at those tonight!

Tonight's episode was so much fun: I'm so glad Jennifer decided to bring this series back. I've really grown to love characters like Eileen, Rosie, Tip and Sal now, and it was so obvious the girls were having more fun than ever before. I can't wait for next week!

Re: Jam and Jerusalem

More than four milion is rather great, isn't it? I'm glad it gets good ratings this time: I believe the reason they're only doing three episodes this time is due to the limited budget unfortunately. I hope good viewer's ratings this series will provide Jennifer with a higher budget for her next show...

Re: Jam and Jerusalem

It must have been rather hard for Jennifer too though: she's been working for the BBC for such a long time, and still is is bound to a limited budget.

J&J is so underappreciated which really is a shame. Back in the AbFab days, she could basically do whatever she wanted... (only she couldn't find a good reason for them to go to the Bahamas, haha)
