Haven't poked around here for awhile, but I have my TNA novels out, so thought I'd throw a few things in.
More from Fighting Men
Oh no! Purdey's been captured!
"You had better come out with your hands up, or she goes straight to the crocodiles."
"Don't do it, Mike," shouted Purdey, but Gambit came out.
Gambit: "Great plan, Purdey."
P: "You shouldn't have surrendered."
G: I was thinking of those crocodiles. I mean, what sort of meal would you have been? You haven't eaten for days. I love animals, and it would simply not have been fair."
"What do you say to a crocodile face to face that will appease him?"
"Make it snappy."
Later, Purdey gets to eat:
"Another breakfast, Miss? You've had two already."
Purdey: "I know. Now I want a third." Hostage
is the only second season TNA ep to get a novel. It's written by Peter Cave, who also did House of Cards
(the bad TNA novel that I cited so much in the other thread), but he's done much better this time around. One of my all-time favourite TNA lines is in here. Gambit is being put through a series of agent tests, one of which is word assocation.
Evans: "I shall say something, and I want you to speak the first word which comes into your mind. Do you understand?"
"Good," Evans said with satisfaction.
"God, said the Ducess, I think I'm pregnant," Gambit delivered, with a straight face.
I can just hear Gareth rattling that one off.
