Smilies

Is it just me or do you have too pb to use the smilies when you post a reply?
They appear when I post a new topic, when I preview my post before posting and when I edit a post but they don't appear anymore when I type a reply and check "Display smilies".

Re: Smilies

Hmm that's odd. So far I haven't had any problems with posting smilies. Let's try some:

That's odd. I never display my posts before I post them, so I didn't notice anything. They do still appear in the messages for me, although it does sometimes take some more time for the smilies to load.

Re: Smilies

I think my 1st post wasn't clear.
My problem is I can't use smilies because the selection of smilies doesn't appear above the box where we type the post.
Before, I just had to check "display smilies" and they all appear and I could click to insert them, but about 3 weeks ago all the smilies disappeared.
I can see and click on them only if I preview before posting or if I edit my post.

Re: Smilies

Oh that is strange indeed. That's certainly not happening to me, and as far as I know not with anyone else either..

Re: Smilies

Oh, I get it now! That's even stranger actually, but I haven't had any trouble at all. It does sometimes take more time to load the smilies than it does to load the page, but they do appear for me.

I shall check the freeforums helpdesk for you later.

Re: Smilies

Thanks Maartje.
I've had a look at the options in my profile to make sure the smilies weren't disabled but everything is ok.
Never mind, I'll go on previewing my posts when I need smilies.

Re: Smilies

I've just found what was wrong with the smilies : it was the style!
I couldn't display the smilies with the "CA Gen2" and now my smilies are back with "Anna". :thumb:

Re: Smilies

I was just wondering: does anyone else here have experienced trouble with displaying the smilies with the CA Gen2 style? (or any other...)

I use Anna, and the smilies always work for me. Never any problems on that front.
