Re: Filming locations

I've still got blisters from all the walking, but we found a few locations!

Clapham Art Gallery

The cafe 2 doors down where Davina got her coffee (we had tea there)

And of course the famous Chelsea house boats! :squee:

Re: Filming locations

Ah, you've beaten me too it. I think the whole Clapham area is rather nice, it's rather like a little village in a very big town. There was a market with fresh food when we had tea there, that probably explains why we didn't recognise it at first.

The art gallery's quite a big smaller than you would expect it to be though, it all looks so different on screen. The cafe (were Davina gets her coffee from) is really lovely though.

Did you go inside the art gallery?

It's an area I don't know too well, so I must go and explore next time I am there!

Re: Filming locations

I had a wander past this earlier in the week - its the Church that Davina sits outside while waiting for her friend in the second series of Sensitive Skin. Its across the river from the Chelsea houseboats where Davina lives. My friend had to persuade me that sitting on the steps & doing my best Joanna Lumley pose would definitely NOT be cool! Ha, ha...

Of course it would have been. Great pictures though, but what a shame Philippa and me didn't spot it on our walk! I was almost constantly on the lookout for more filming locations, but alas.

Thank you for posting.

Re: Filming locations

Well I am now wondering if the church just looks familiar because of the series, or if we actually did see it on our walk. I'll have to go through my pictures again, because I do remember taking pictures of a church, but it's probably another one.

Well if the church is across the Chelsea Embankment, I don't think we have seen it.

I'm suprised you managed to find all these places actually - we already had difficulties finding the boats haha.

Its only because I live in the area. When the second series was shown on TV, I spent the whole time going "oh, oh, look where that is!" Ha, ha. They filmed a lot of it in a small part of Chelsea - all the locations are quite close together. I just can't believe I didn't see any of it being filmed!

I still haven't managed to snap a photo of the Lumley Street sign near Oxford Street yet. But when Im in the area Im definitely going to get a shot.

Re: Filming locations

We just happened to stumble across the Lumley street sign by accident. I just happened to be looking up when we passed it, and the name obviously stands out to us fans, so that's how we got to see it

I'm still suprised to paid attention to it actually - I was trying to avoid people all the way from Primark to Yo! Sushi's, haha. (Oxford Street's a nightmare on Saturday) Lumley street was one of the many locations I had not looked up before going there, so it was a funny coincidence that we even passed it at all. (I still like to think it was a sign) :lmao:
