Starting yesterday evening, every time I post I get this message:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Unknown column 'user_notify_subscribe_email' in 'field list' [1054]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

My posts actually go through--they're not deleted. But when I hit submit this pops up instead of the "your message has been posted" confirmation. It's annoying but not affecting my ability to use the board. Any idea what's going on?

I have no clue what's going on: Phil and I have the same problem, and we've talked about it this morning... It's apparently an error in the server, because more freeforum websites have the same problem, so I guess we'll just have to wait until they've sorted it all out.

A server error makes sense, in which case we simply have to wait it out. It's not hampering my ability to use the forum, though, so I can live with it. Thanks for getting back to me.

Oh yes, you can still post things. The forum just doesn't allow you to automatically return to your post, not now. I'll check freeforums tonight to see if there any hints on how to solve the problem.

Thanks, it's good to hear that. I've checked the support website of the forum provider, and apparently there is still no solution available, so we'll just have to hope they'll sort it out soon.

There's nothing we can do, sorry for the inconvience caused.
