Joanna Lumley's Ark

Philippa wrote:Only a 2 parter? That's disappointing indeed, I had expected another 4 parter. But I'm sure it'll be great either way. I'm really looking forward to it

Yes, as far as I recall she said it was a 90-minute-thing. Well, I'm glad we're getting anything at all, so I won't complain either

Re: Iran documentary in search of Noah's ark

I'm looking forward to this newest documentary. She's quite witty and seems to relish and enjoy every moment of those treks. It's such a treat and quite fun to watch them.

Re: Iran documentary in search of Noah's ark

I'm really excited to see this. It sounds like it's going to be fascinating. I agree that it's a bit disappointing that it will only be a 2 parter...simply because her documentaries are always so well done that you don't want to think that a whole lot of really interesting stuff will be edited out so that it fits into the given 90 minutes.

I agree with you, I would love to have another 4 parter coming up. But I'm glad she's doing another documentation at all!

The ITV press page is finally up! We've got a title now, so I'm changing the name of this topic

If they've made a page for it, I'm hoping this will mean that it'll be on TV sooner rather than later. *fingers crossed*

This is really great news! I just love her documentaries and I am sure this one will be as good as the other ones. I missed her. Really. It's been so long now, a year ago I met her in London for the Lion but this year was over so quickly. Just had to say this.

No I agree with you, Britta! The Lion seems ages ago, even though it has barely be a year. Go on Jo, do another play so we can go and see you

The Search For Noah's Ark

Seriously guys, the docu airs tomorrow night but we got the title wrong again. Apparently it's The Search For Noah's Ark - if you browse through this thread you can count the number of working titles ITV came up with since this project was announced

Re: The Search For Noah's Ark

Well I thought it was a wonderful documentary, I really enjoyed it! Although I was still under the impression that it was a two-parter, so I was kind of surprised that it suddenly finished. And wasn't she supposed to be going to Iran at some point as well, or were we just fed false information? (the title changed about 5000 times as well after all )

Re: The Search For Noah's Ark

She didn't go to Iran?! That was what the docu was all about, the original topic title suggests exactly that.. Perhaps they weren't allow to film in some places and decided to cut the whole Iran bit out? Real shame...
