Ohh, an Irish name, I like that. *runs to name book looking for the Celtic section*

Glad you like the idea

I think it's great. If I pick one, I'll let you know. Then you'll have the whole brood.

As for the names I came up with for my set of five - well, they might just have decided that Gambit could name the girls and Purdey the boys and Gambit got lucky.

Purdey's going to regret that deal for the rest of her life, isn't she?

Maartje wrote:Oh, I refuse to believe she's that jealous. She's the kind of girl that wouldn't like the competition at first, but in the end, I think she would appreciate mrs. Peel for her tough character. Anyway, I always imagine they should get along in the end, after a few difficulties when meeting.

Philippa wrote:I think they'll be polite to each other at first, perhaps a bit more friendly later on, but Purdey and Emma will never be the best of friends. At least that's how I see it, but I could be wrong of course.
Purdey's quite stubborn, and since Steed and Gambit think Emma's the best thing since sliced bread (nice one Timeless, had to use it!), that's not going to help. Purdey's the jealous type. So in due time she could get over her jealousy, but will always be cautious I think.

Maartje wrote:Hm, yes, Emma would be quite a legend, even though it had already been ten years. And the fact that Gambit clearly shows some interest in her (I bet she's on page one of his ''little black book'' as well) wouldn't make it easier. I think they should be able to get along in the end, out of respect, but I don't see the girls brushing each others and and becoming best friends either, no.
Khell wrote:Agre on Emma. But I think Purdey and Tara could get along just fine. All that Steed hero-worship business they're sharing. And they would be roughly about the same age, wouldn't they? I can really see them got out shopping together (Lacroix, baby!) and then, have tea and exchange stories about Steed.

I must admit I hadn't thought of that, but I can definitely picture it!

Khell wrote:There WAS a story, once, where Cathy and Emma did team up on Steed. I don't remember the title but I'm sure Timeless will know which one I mean. It was about Steed having dinner with one of the ladies and the other one turning up, too. Hilarious!

Philippa wrote:You're making me really curious about this AU story. Will it involve loads of Purdey/Gambit lovelyness?
