I think I've fixed it. Try now.

And I know, it's so annoying that the forum does that. I've been trying to do something about that for ages, but I still haven't figured out how to fix it.

Purdey and Gambit were fiction, relics from one of his favourite childhood series. Somewhere, in 2006, actors Gareth Hunt and Joanna Lumley were in their sixties and going about their lives. But here no such persons existed. Characters were eternal, unchanged by the ravages of time.

Philippa wrote:Ooh this was great! I really hope that you'll turn this into a full story, I want to know what's going to happen
I know that you normally only write for TNA, but you got the other characters spot on as well.
I really loved the "I'm a fan" bit. Really cool how you combined fiction and reality here!
I'm glad the characters rang true, though--writing Gene, Ray, Chris, Sam, Annie, and Phyllis was really hard! Maybe if I did more I'd get better. They're totally different characters, and they necessitate a bit of swearing as well, I'm afraid.

But Purdey, drunk? You're playing tricks with my mind, I know you are!

Philippa wrote:I think it's really clever how you incorporated all these different elements into 1 storyline. I did get the whole reference about Dr. Keel, but your explanation here makes it a lot more clear. And with that you get the whole fiction vs. reality thing, because Sam remembers watching The New Avengers on television, and now the characters are "real" all of a sudden. That must do something to his poor, already confused enough mind

Philippa wrote:I really hope you do. It's a very interesting idea for a storyline, and you could take it in so many different directions! It's funny to play with the whole confused Sam idea, and like you said, the existing of... well let's call it a parallel universe. It's a great concept for a fic

Well, the Life on Mars crossover is just scraps--not a full story. Maybe one day I'll finish it, though. I have so many writing projects I want to do, and they're all lined up waiting for me to work on them. Really need to focus on the arc now, though.![]()
The Champions is a cult British series that ran in the late sixties about three superpowered agents who work for Nemesis, a sort of UN-sanctioned spy agency. I've been watching a lot of ITV series, and I really love that one, and I think it would make great crossover material. Again, something else to work on. That's so weird you saw it on TV right after I mentioned it, though! That sort of stuff happens to me all the time. Did you give it a look? It's lots of fun--not terribly realistic, but fun. I love Stuart Damon as Craig in particular--he's hilarious.
