Re: The Unpublished Fiction

I was busy installing programs this morning, and I needed something to keep me occupied at the computer. I wrote a story about Gambit's bed. You see what you guys made me do? You made me write a story about Gambit's bed! See what happens when you give me ideas? Oh help. :lmao:

It's called Bonus Features. You're just lucky Adobe downloads slow. And I had research to do. Enjoy.

There was that Rupert Bear reading story, too. I get an idea and just can't let it go. :lmao: Help!

Haha yes, I'd forgotten about Rupert The Bear... You want me to come up with a few more story lines for you then? I'm starting to enjoy this game! :lmao:

Oh, mercy! I'll never get anything done at that rate. :lmao: Some days I do toy with the idea of having a "prompt" week (you give me a prompt of some sort, and I write a little short piece about it). Maybe when I've finished a few things I want to do with "Vignettes" and get a really good start on my latest fic...

Did you read about Gambit and Purdey's adventures with the bed? :brows:

Of course I did, how can I ignore such a story? :lolol: Impressive how managed to come up with so many different functions for the bed, even though I'm not quite sure if I'd like to have the massage button myself, haha.

Prompt week? Should be fun! You never seem to take a break from writing - don't you?

I imagine that concept would be hard to ignore. :lmao: I don't think I'd like a massage button, either, but Purdey's feeling experimental. I doubt it'll become a regular feature--I think Gambit prefers to not let the bed take all the credit. :lmao: Glad you enjoyed.

Believe me, though, I slack off from writing all the time. It's just the three year backlog of stuff that makes me look prolific. I'm trying really hard to do as much stuff as I can before I go back to school, though, because then I won't time to write much of anything at all. It'd be great if I could finish off some old ideas before that happened. But hey, writing is fun! I'm glad I've had some time to really work on it for a change. ^^

Purdey and Gambit always seem to end up with my taste in seventies music. But hey, Gambit would have some Roxy lying around surely?

Re: The Unpublished Fiction

I wrote something for the first time in something like two months last night. Just a tiny germ of an idea that came to me and I jotted down in 45 minutes. Fairly inconsequential, and very short, it's meant to be mellow and sweet. The tone is more formal than usual, but that's intentional. Just a little bit about our favourite pair. I hope you enjoy.

It works - that was so sweet and pure, a joy to read. Thanks, Timeless.

This is so amazingly written ... I think my favorite quote is "Tomorrow will look after itself. Today he will look after her." ... *happy sigh*.
You paint such vivid pictures inside my head ... thanks so much for sharing this little gem!

Oh, wow, really? :squee: I didn't expect such a great reaction. I thought it might be passable at best--that's why it's not up at ff.net. Thank you, Laura.

Thank you, Maartje. Sweet and pure were exactly what I was going for. I'm so glad it got there and you enjoyed it.

Thanks so much, Sapphire. Painting word pictures is definitely something every writer wants to do. And you gave me a favourite line and everything!

Honestly, thank you so much for the comments, guys. After all this time, I still post stuff with no idea of how it's going to be received, so all of this is really gratifying. ^^
