I'll certainly try. You should have a vague idea of Sam and Annie's relationship problems with that last bit I just posted, but how it influences Purdey and Gambit's relationship...well, that's another matter.

I seem to be bopping between fics at the moment. It's so hard when you have multiple ideas competing for attention.

Hey, no biggie, it's supposed to be fun, not a bunch of pressure. I just like to keep posting stuff to encourage myself to keep my momentum up. At most, I hope it gives you something to look forward to.

I figured I had to get in at least one dialogue between the women, because I'm going to be splitting them up for part of the story to work on other relationships, so this was my chance.

I had my betareader looking at those pieces last night, and she likes the fic so far. Drunk Purdey was her favourite, quel supris.

I seem to have this desire to write Purdey and Gambit sloshed. I did Gambit drunk in "The Question," so Purdey just had to be next. I think drunk Purdey would be hilarious--poor Gambit's just disturbed, though.

I still have this fantasy AbFab episode in my mind, where Gareth guest stars and Patsy sets her sights on him and pins him to the wall. Lots of panicked expressions and struggling on his part ensues--it would be exact opposite of Purdey and Gambit and it would be hilarious.

But I think drunk Purdey's going to have to be the best we get.

It would be extra-funny because Purdey was always spurning Gambit, so to see Patsy practically jumping on Gareth as he tried to get away would be hilarious because it'd turn the tables. Gareth could do panicked so well. I can see it now--Patsy's beehive coming out, Gareth's face all covered in her red lipstick. The audience would just about die. Why didn't Jennifer Saunders ever get him on?

Ah, I see. I just figured since the audience laughed at Patsy's Purdey bob, they'd appreciate Patsy going after Gambit, too. I think it would have been funny, anyway.

Speaking of weird connections, I still want to know why the AbFab cast and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy cast keep popping up in each other's programs. I'm so serious--the amount of overlap is insane! I think I nearly choked on something when I realised that Eddie's accountant was Zaphod Beeblebrox, president of the galaxy.
