On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)

There's more to Joanna than AbFab: here's the place to talk about the other work she has done!

On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)

Or at least it looks like Rigg (to the right of George Lazenby). Joanna, of course, is unmistakable.

My poor aged eyes .... :crybaby:

I'm pretty sure that is Diana, because she played the main character in that Bond movie if I'm not mistaken.

PS: I've changed the topic a bit, since we didn't have a thread for this movie yet. Thanks for posting that picture by the way!

I don't think that is Diana--she's not dressed quite right. Diana never had an outfit like that in the movie I don't believe. It's a photo of all the Angels of Death, so she probably wouldn't be included in it anyway. Joanna's cute, though--she looks like she's about to burst out laughing.

Whoops, I was fairly convinced that was Diana. Ah well, I'm not the Avengers expect here, so... It should be easy to solve the mystery though: watch that particular scene from the movie, and compare outfits. That scene is the only bit of the movie I've actually ever watched, and coming to think of it, I didn't spot Diana. (so I guess Timeless is right)

It looks vaguely like her, but they did a whole photo shoot of Lazenby and the Angels, and Diana wasn't in any of it. She got her own shoots with and without George. I'm pretty sure she never wore a costume like that one--I get the feeling from the style of clothes that that's the Spanish Girl beside him. (Joanna voiced all these women, of course). I've only seen the movie a couple of times myself, but I think I've got it right. If not, what colour is my red face?

For more OHMSS goodness, you might want to look at this trailer posted on the forum years back. Look for Joanna:

The woman looks vaguely similar, but it's definitely not Diana.
Great picture though, thanks for posting Dandy. Joanna looks lovely

Teehee, that's a pretty great trailer! I normally can't stand Bond movies, and that's why I've only watchd a couple of scenes from OHMSS. But since Diana is in this too, I might need to give it another try again.

Isn't it? I remember when someone posted it on the forum, I just loved it. The guy did a great job of putting it together. It puts my videos to shame.

Really? I love Bond movies. I'm not too jazzed about some of the Connerys, and one of the Moores, and Quantum of Solace was really dull, but on the whole I love them, and I have this uncontrollable urge to watch whenever they're on TV (particularly the Roger Moore ones. I'm sorry, I like his take on Bond. I know it's nothing like the books, but I don't care! And I love Timothy Dalton, too. He was brilliant.) OHMSS is very different, though. For an Emma fan like myself, it was hard to watch the end. I read the book, too (I've read all the Fleming Bonds), and it's just as gutting. But do give it a try--it's quite good. Joanna's barely in it, as you know, but she does voice all the other Angels of Death (I swear, if you gave her and Gareth free reign, they could have voiced a whole village between them). And Diana wears good clothes (many of which you can't see properly. This made me very angry!). Have a look if you can. Maybe keep the tissues handy.
