Someone posted this on the Jennifer forum, which I thought was lovely. I'd never seen this one before, Joanna knows how to handle the French look!

I know that picture, it's gorgeous. And it definitely has that French feel to it
I used to have that picture too, but all my pictures were on my harddrive so now I have nothing

Oh, absolutely. It's funny though - it has a very French ring to it, however, Joanna herself is so typically English. It's so funny how one can distinguish nationalities so easily...

I just love that shot, because it's so different from the pictures we usually see of her. Fashion (or art, if you will) doesn't have to be glamorous to have a certain appeal, and this photograph is the perfect example.

Those cobbles are from her time in Coronation Street I mentioned earlier! Circa 1973

In 1973 she played Elaine Perkins, who was romanced by Ken Barlow. Like a lot of Lumley's characters, Elaine was posh, and she thought Ken lived in a "sweet little house." She liked Ken, but didn't see herself as a housewife in a "sweet little house," so was also seeing a Liberal party politician at the same time. Ken proposed to her but was rejected.

The irony is her character turned down her chance to be Mrs (Ken) Barlow in Corrie, but became Mrs (Stephen) Barlow in real life.

Well, it's not me who finds them - I only do the posting, haha. All the great HQ pictures of Joanna on the forum we got from her: I have no clue how or where she finds them, and she won't share her secrets either. She does share the pictures, so I'm happy anyway!

I can totally see why - the hair is horrible indeed. It makes her look years older than she really is. It's amazing what a certain hairdo can do to a person: when she had the bob, she looked like a grown-up well in her thirties, while the long blonde hair (she had only months before) made her look like a girl in her twenties.

I have this same picture in black and white in conjunction with a short blurb about Joanna and TNA. That really is an awful hairdo. One of her many experiments in trying to do something with her hair, I suppose. And yes, that is Michael Kitchn in the background, the guy she lived with during TNA (well, when she wasn't living with Gareth).

I only just spotted that cute picture of Jamie in the background too, he was such an adorable kid. I can't really see what the picture below the photograph is of - it looks a bit like a cat, or is that '''wishful seeing''?
