I think we've got it in France about each 2 years, because TF1 was one of the producers.
But this channel usually broadcasts it after midnight, that's stupid :(

Unfortunately yes.
I've seen many epis of the Avengers in english on Arte or France 3 but I've never seen The New Avengers in english cause TF1 hadly ever broadcasts movies or series with subtitles.
Just before i had pb with my laptop and external hard disk I downloaded a few epis in english but didn't have enough time to watch them. And now I'm on holiday but I can't watch them cause of the bloody buggered laptop

aaaww that sucks.
but i just saw that you can buy the whole new avengers dvd box on amzon.co.uk
it contains 8 dvd's and costs around 25 pounds. that's not too bad compared to the sapphire & steel box which only has 6 dvd's and costs something like 47 pounds :(

Even if I decide to watch all the episodes on youtube I'll probably buy the DVDs.

It seems as if I'm going to watch it all since I'm already on to the beginning of series two.... :D

Re: Watching the series

I got them from the media section, cos there is no possible way of buying these in the Netherlands... They did release the Avengers box sets, but only the episodes with Honor Blackman and Diana Rigg, and never the ones with Jo and Gareth Hunt in it... I've seen both series though, and I absolutely love it.

Re: Watching the series

One tip, don't buy the Dutch releases of the Emma Peel series. They've cut bits of some of the episodes and the credits are in French!
The Cathy Gale ones are great though, I recently bought series 2 myself.
Now all we can do is hope that they release The New Avengers soon as well. Or otherwise you can buy them on Amazon.co.uk

That's a shame, I had actually planned to buy those ones first.. I take it you've bought all of the released box sets so far? :)

Re: Watching the series

Yeah, the New Avengers are on the French telly again . After broadcasting the Avengers with Emma Peel and Tara King here's Purdey! :great:
In French unfortunately.
On the French and German channel Arte, everyday at about 5:20/25 pm. :d

Re: Watching the series

Hee, I might be able to watch it on either the French or German telly then! Nice! (It's so great that they're broadcasting the show: why don't the Dutch ever broadcast something Joanna related?!)
